Group: Location Reccie + Footage

Where did we go and what was the aim?
On our first location shoot we went to Brighton to carry out a location reccie and also film some examples of key techniques seen in music videos such as 360 pan, different framing, narrative shots and also filming at a higher frame-rate.

What did we achieve?
We managed to achieve all of the example shots, these included:
- 360 pan
- Slow pan
- Tracking shot
- Miming shot
- Higher frame-rate (for slow-motion shots)
- Narrative driving shots
- Framing techniques
- Different camera angles
We also shot a lot of miming footage for our final video, as well as other clips which could be useful to use if we decide to create a montage or need to add more footage to put to the track.

What problems/obstacles did we encounter?
We mostly found that keeping maintaining continuity (especially the weather) was the hardest as the forecast was very interchangeable for on that day. This was also not helped by the city being on the coast, so strong winds and rain were a frequent problem we tried to avoid.

What did we learn that we can take into the next shoot?
We learnt a lot about shooting at a higher frame rate and miming along to a slowed-down version of  our track, and also learnt how to avoid any continuity errors such as weather by either waiting for rain to pass over, or shooting indoor clips to add to our 'spare' footage.
